The IESO is conducting a sequence of acquisition processes aimed at obtaining 1,500 MW of additional natural gas capacity. This includes a Long-Term (LT1) Request For Proposal (RFP), which is focused on sourcing resources that will be operational between 2026 and 2028. The purpose of these acquisitions is to meet the energy requirements of the province .
